Frequently asked questions about Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture -
How can it help me?
The main reason for having Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture is to help the body hold back the aging process. Stimulating the meridians of the face can lead to a more youthful look without invasive surgery or chemical implants. Toning the areas around the eyes, improving the strength of the muscles around the jaw and mouth can significantly improve your appearance and thus lead to a more confident you.
Does it work?
Clinical trials and centuries of use have shown that Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture may improve certain conditions. That doesn't mean it will work for everyone and each client is assessed on their merits. Certain medical conditions can affect the muscles and skin tone of the face and as such need addressing first. Wrinkles, sagging and fine lines, as well as drooping eyelids all respond well to the treatment.
How many treatments do I need?
That is dependant upon many factors including how much self help you can commit to. On average, seven or eight treatments should show a decent change with maintenance treatments on a regular basis to keep the facial tone responding.
Is it harmful?
Absolutely not. Because we are dealing with re-balancing the meridians we are actually restoring what should be there rather than 'adding to' something. Therefore it doesn't put the body under undue stress nor cause fatigue. There are no adverse side effects from maintaining the bodies natural flow of energy and vitality.
Are there people who shouldn't have FRA?
It is contraindicated for some pituitary disorders, heart disorders, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, individuals who have a pacemaker or who have a problem with bleeding or bruising, or who currently suffer from migraine headaches. Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture should not be done during pregnancy, during a bout of cold or flu, during an allergic attack, or during an acute herpes outbreak.
