I hope you have read the 'Is it for you' and reached a certain conclusion as to where I'm coming from. No?
I do not train shamans per se because I think you are just looking for something 'new' to do to pass the time, someone who is destined to be a shaman will have very specific events in their background that show they have no choice. These people generally 'stumble' into shamanism not because they read a book but because they were lost.
Yes I run retreats, do drumming and all that other stuff but that is not being a shaman now is it? No more than riding in a R.I.B behind a pod of dolphins is 'being' a dolphin. As I said before, a shamanic path is different to being a shaman, for the shaman there is no path until they look backwards to see where they've been. If you can appreciate that then we are getting somewhere.
So I suggest you do the following -
Take up a hobby or job that scares the **** out of you at least once a day
Never plan your day ahead
Take up needle point and poetry (writing)
Learn to pray properly
If by pure chance you are one of the lost souls who has stumbled into me, then please email me and we can have a chat, otherwise you can visit the workshops page to see what is happening and whether you'd like to take part.
